There is no pressure to try every movement ... There is no right or wrong way, you just do what you can and join in what you want to. Anybody can join in regardless of fitness or experience. We collectively create a kind and caring space online and at The Hive, at Warmley Park School in Bristol (Thursday class).
We aim for everyone to feel welcome and supported in their movement journey and for these sessions to have a positive impact on your emotional and physical wellbeing.
These regular classes are designed to give you insight into how we can improve our quality of life with a super simple movement practice. Each movement session helps in calming the nervous system and in gradually bringing childlike qualities back into our bodies. Join us to help yourself stay mobile - feel more freedom in movement and to FEEL GOOD!
These classes will be fun, relaxing and help improve the function of your whole body. Learn easy techniques to calm and tone your nervous system, practice footwork to increase balance and reduce risk from falls and movements to strengthen, helping you feel able to lead a full movement rich lifestyle.
Each element of the class is designed to gently rehydrate your connective tissues for more body wide freedom of movement, it will feel like a release of tightness and unnecessary tension and will work towards creating a feeling of safety in your body as well as balancing, toning and gentle strengthening. We will often end each session with relaxation. A mini retreat to aid in reconnecting your mind and body. People often report having the best night's sleep of the week after class!

£23 per month membership subscription gives you access to all online live classes (via zoom link) plus the recorded classes to do in your own time at home. You are also welcome to classes at The Hive, when space is available - booking is essential!

To make a booking email emily@movementfoundations.co.uk quoting the date and time of the course or workshop you would like to attend. Emily will then reply with all the details you need to attend as well as account details needed to make the payment for your booking. All courses and workshops must be paid for in advance to secure your place. You have 7 days to make your payment from time of booking (or by the date of workshop if booking within 7 days of date). Places are limited. If the course or workshop you would like to attend is already full you will be offered a place on the next available.
Emily qualified to teach Pilates in 2010 and has worked in the healing art of movement ever since. The experience gained the early days of this incarnation as a healing therapist she worked alongside Osteopaths and other Pilates professionals to hone her skills and develop her intuitive way of working with people holistically. Emily is particularly attuned to energetic resonance and the importance of language. Forever engaging with kindness, care and compassion, and always an element of light humour. Emily is continually learning about the human body and nervous system regulation, understanding that what creates health and wellbeing for one person, might look wildly different to another. Emily thrives in helping people find their feel good within their own unique experience and expression. Emily is fully insured to guide and coach movement.
Emily provides Movement classes online within her Movement Community. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. Wellbeing coaching sessions are also facilitated online.
